Can I still get coverage for part D Medicare if my plan is ending?

Yes, you can enroll in a new Part D plan during a Special Enrollment Period:

  • You may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you have certain life-changing events, such as losing your employer-sponsored prescription drug coverage or moving to a new area where your current plan isn’t available.
  • If you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period, you can enroll in a new Part D plan at any time of the year.
  • You will not incur a late enrollment penalty if you enroll in a new plan during a Special Enrollment Period and do so within 63 days of losing your creditable coverage.
